We thank God for a very successful 2nd Anniversary Celebration of Sunrise Gapan. The HK Mission Team led By Mandy and six others with Pastor Rey and Ethel went back to HK with reports of successful mission. The team went to two Villages, going house to house searching for the persons of peace healing and preaching the Gospel. Those who received Christ was baptised in their own homes and 5 of them receive baptism at home. 12 were baptized at the swimming pool and also on the venue where they had the anniversary. During anniversary celebration which were attended by almost 196 people including Kids. During Altar call to receive Jesus in their heart 33 people received the Jesus. Pastor Rey challenged them to receive baptism as well and 25 people responded. All together they baptized 42 people in two days. They also experienced the Holy Spirit as the mission team pray for them praise the Lord!
Few things the team have observed from our disciple in Gapan.
Their love to God is getting deeper.
They have struggles financially but yet keep doing the work of the Lord. Caring and ministering to people the Word of God.
They have unity and willingness to serve.
I believed that this few things will remind us to keep the command of the Lord as well here in Hong Kong. Those attitudes of disciples in Gapan is a “must have attitudes” for every disciple wherever we are! I believe with confidence that DMM not only work for the village people. It can work in Hong Kong too because I know that Hong Kong Sunrise also have those attitudes. The facts we already have a few success stories here. Sunrise lift up God so much in our Praye
r and worship and words – So we have God that can do everything “Job 42:2 NIV “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. So the most important thing we need to have is a “Can do attitude” and “just do it attitude.” Paul talks this kind of attitude “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13 NKJV. We are almost there to experience multiplication. Be ready Sunrise!
By the way, we are not doing new things. We are just are reviving the way Jesus and the Apostles’ way of doing ministry. People today might have different view of doing church or ministry, but it does not matter. What matter is we are doing what Jesus commanded us to do, to warn the people of the danger of hell, and eventually save them (Ezekiel 3:17-19), baptize and train them to become a disciple of Christ that disciple others too (Matthew 28:19). Get listed to be mighty disciple of Christ now!
