On the street, we can see the very colorful and fascinating Christmas decorations. At the malls we hear beautiful Christmas songs being played continuously even though Hong Kong is not a Christian nations. I love this scenery around our city. To me I wish that this kind of celebration not only every December but continue through all the year. Because we all know that Jesus is the reason for Christmas celebration (John 3:16, Luke 2:11-14).
Let us make the most of the celebration. Last week we talked about giving a GIFT that lives on. Has anyone share God’s Goodness? Have you Influenced your friend or family to follow Jesus? Have you lived your Faith to the fullest that your friends were amazed? Did you share you Testimony to others? Thanks for sharing this gift that lives on. But do we do it only every Christmas? NO! We should do this all through the year because this is what Jesus has called us.
Let us continue to spread out the message of HOPE not gloom – Jesus did not come to judge the world but to save the world from sins (John 12:44-50).
Many people around us are living in very gloomy situations. Few days ago we hear another woman with her baby trying to end her life. Why has this kind of things happening because they have lost their hope. Christmas reminds us that there is hope in every gloomy situation. There are solutions to every problem. There is healing to every sickness. There is forgiveness to every sins you have committed. When you see people being down, give them love and encouragement. When you hear of negative things do not entertain it. “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations: 3:22-23).
“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon[a] his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Isaiah 9:6
You can do it Because of Jesus.
