We welcome 2019 with a new direction from the Lord for Sunrise both the Church and the Ministry. We are excited for response of our people in our fund-raising effort.
We have heard many different stories on what they will do so they can share on “Building God’s Tabernacle”. Like the story of Nathan, the son of Franco and Angie– He is a kid and has no income but he wants to contribute by saving his food allowance so he can offer for the moving. Bobo she said will cut her Uber rides and taxi’s and take public transport, so she can save and offer for the Church, though she already does big sacrificial offering, but she wants to do more for God. Gemma and Precious – agrees that for every set of cookware sell from their company, introduced by Sunrise people they will give 10% commission for Church moving on top of their tithing. A sister working at home with family in the Philippines who make only HK$4,510 every month with big family to support in the Philippines would sacrifice 85% of her salary on top of her tithing. Praise the Lord for all your obedience and love the for the Lord.
As of this week we have now received a pledge amounting to HKD$885,900. Cash received HK$262,105. We are still beyond our budget of $2,733,400. But God is good, and He is our sufficient provider, I know He will provide because He has called us to moved to Hub 8.
We have signed the contract and decoration will begin March 1 to middle of April. The cash we have, have paid for the deposit. End of this month we need to pay for the contractor deposit. If you haven’t participated on this holy sacrifice for the Lord do it now. Do not be left behind. This is just a small test of your faith if you cannot overcome this testing, how will you overcome the bigger testing at the end times?
I remember this beautiful conversation of Jesus and this young man. He came to Jesus asking how can he get eternal life. We better read it. (Matthew 19:16-22)
A man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” he inquired.
Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[c] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”
“All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
Material wealth is not bad, it is a blessing from the Lord. But if you let it control your life, if you allow your wealth or material possession take your heart. That’s the trouble began.
So, let it go for the glory of the Lord. Then you will be the perfect follower of Jesus. Not only that, you will have treasures in heaven! God bless you all.
