This is the greetings we hear from everyone. The world of Christ believers celebrated this day with fanfare, party, exchanging gifts and etc. And it’s just right to celebrate because without Christmas, which begins at the birth of Jesus, then we don’t have salvation. Every believer should indeed be thankful that Jesus Christ was born. Prophet Isaiah painted a very clear picture of who Jesus is, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the growth of his government and peace there will be no end. He will rule over his kingdom, sitting on the throne of David, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of the Heavenly Armies will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7). Other religious group their god is far out there. Far and far away from them, they also need to do lot ceremonies to make their god happy. But for Christian believer our God is with us, “Immanuel” –(Matthew 1:23). And Jesus only requires from us to believe and have faith on Him, love him and obey his Command. “For this demonstrates our love for God: We keep his commandments, and his commandments are not difficult,” (1 John 5:3). It was this for this reason we are joyfully celebrating Christmas. Besides from the sacrifices of Jesus Christ on the cross for the redemption of our sins.
Let us all truly celebrate Christmas by acknowledging Jesus Christ as the reason for the season. Then you will enjoy your party, gifts and everything you do this Christmas. Here are some suggestions to celebrate a meaningful C H R I S T M A S !
C HRIST – must be the centre of your celebration and everything you do this Christmas and in your life. (John 15:5)
H EART – must be cleared from all kinds of bitterness, jealousy, pride and prejudice.
R EJOICE – in the Lord always rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)- there are ten thousand reason for you to praise God and enjoys life, instead of being bitter and worried and fearful.
I NSPIRED – others by living a good life as believers and helping others in every possible way. Your struggles and success story of your life could be a trigger to inspire someone who are discourage and hopeless
S ERVE – others as if serving the Lord. Jesus came to serve and not to be serve (Mark 10:45) Here you glorify God in heaven. You are doing exactly what Jesus is doing if right now you are serving in what ever capacity you have.
T RAIN – Find someone you can train to do evangelism, disciple making and living by faith.
M ENTOR people to grow in their Spiritual and be disciple that make disciple. 2 Timothy 2:2 this verse is call for every believer to mentor others and train them to be disciple that make disciple. This is a noble task of every believers.
A PPLY – everything you read from the word of God and hear from the preaching – Faith without action is dead! (James 2:14-26) Put it on!
S HARE – Jesus to every people you meet, who he is, what he has done in your life. Specially this Christmas there is no greater gift we can give to people but Jesus Himself because He is the greatest gift of God to humanity. (Luke 4:35, Matthew 28:19-20)
