The law on earth has been existed since the creation of the earth. The first law was given by the Lord to Adam and Eve at the garden. – I believed the first law “is found in Genesis 2:17 “but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”.
There are some other laws the Lord has given… and the most famous laws the Lord were given were the ‘Ten Commandments”. Given by the Lord to Moses at Mt. Sinai and God himself wrote it on the tablet of stone by his power. (Exodus chapter 19 and 20). Half of these laws governs the people how to live their lives towards God while half of this laws help them lives with people. In Deuteronomy, Leviticus and other books in the Bible has many other laws as well.
Even in the New Testament Jesus help us remember the Laws of God – and He makes it simple for us to remember. Because from Ten commandments, He summarized it into two laws or commandment. “ Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’. (Matthew 22:37-39)
What did you noticed from all the laws of God given? All these laws were given for the security of the people. Praise the Lord! In Genesis, God forbid Adam and Eve to eat the fruits from the tree of Good and Evil, because when they eat, they will surely die. God created people to subdue the earth, to be fruitful, to multiply not to die. (Genesis 1:28) But in the garden, it has something that was not good for them. So, God give them a law to remind them. A security law to protect while they follow it, they will enjoy the fruit of the land and that is what happened.
In the Ten commandments –A particularly important security law was given- Do not worship any graven images or idols –Only God Because He alone deserves the worship. The punishment, if you broke it, you would not have security or protection from the Lord and Satan will attack you, up to the third generation. But you will enjoy God’s protection and security once you follow and God security and blessings follow you up to 4th generation.
The Law of God is indeed a security for all of us. So my dear brethren, I encourage you, read the Law of God, His words and follow it, Because once you follow it. You can always be assured of God’s security and protection. Far away from the attacked of the enemy. Because the law of the Lord was given for you and my security. “Meditate on it day and night then you will be prosperous and successful”. (Joshua 1:8-9).
