In this time of chaos, its good to be reminded the amazing blessings we have in Christ Jesus.
Final reward that God has for us is eternal life … it is the ultimate reward that he prepares to give to those who believe and receive Him as personal Lord and Savior. When we say ultimate that means the final rewards and we will get it the moment we die… We die will die physically but our spirit will live. Hallelujah….
Here is what you got. (Please read Ephesians 1:3-13)
SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS 1. WE ARE ADOPTED AS SONS (V. 5). Adoption grants non-physically related children all the privileges of a natural born child. We are not God’s children naturally. Our spiritual nature makes us enemies of God. But because God’s love “he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will” —(Ephesians 1:5) we become God’s adopted children, part of His family. God has open up to all who believe in His name, “He give them the right to become the Child of God.” (John 1:12) That you!
2. WE HAVE REDEMPTION AND FORGIVENESS OF OUR TRESPASSES (V. 7). Our sinful nature made us enemies of God and a slave to sin. We are all destined to die in hell as punishment. But God out of his love, mercy and grace has forgiven us of these sins and redeemed us from our sinful captivity. he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will — “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.” (Ephesians 1:7-8). Hallelujah!
3. WE KNOW THE MYSTERY OF HIS WILL (V. 9).
The mystery of his will discussed here is the mystery that God sent Christ in “the fullness of times.” Those who followed God before Christ longed to see and understand the fullness of God’s salvation plan (John 8:56). We have the privilege and blessing of being on this side of Christ, and thus be able to see the details of how God has redeemed us.
4. WE HAVE OBTAINED AN INHERITANCE (V. 14). Because we are adopted children of God, we also are heirs of God’s Kingdom . (Romans 8:17).Like me, My children are heirs to any property I have .. But that really is not much of a source of hope for them, for what I have pretty is just nothing , in comparison to what God owns, What does God own? God owns everything (Psalm 50:10-12), and we are the heirs to this estate, and power from God as well. “who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:14)
5. WE ARE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (V. 13). In centuries past, letters were sealed with wax and then stamped with the signet ring of the sender. When someone received a letter with the seal intact, they knew the letter had not been tampered with. Furthermore, the seal assured them that the letter had not been forged. The Holy Spirit seals these blessings, assuring us that we are not going to be tampered with and assuring us that these blessings are genuine.
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” (Ephesians 1:13)
You are mark as his/her sons/daughter . The Holy Spirit is the guarantee, warranty, or pledge that our salvation (justification and sanctification) will lead to the riches of heaven and salvation.
