It is God’s desire and plan for all human beings to live victoriously and contagiously, and to be with him forever. Jesus did not save us from the danger of sin and then leave us to return to it. “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.” (Hebrews 10:26-27). Real born-again must have life transformation, must grow in faith, and must live a victorious life.
When Jesus Christ died on the cross and you believe Him, trust all His Words, and believe the Holy Spirit is God, then the power to overcome all wickedness and Satan’s attacks has been activated upon you. “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19. Read and understand this verse again.
Jesus has given you authority to overcome all the power of the enemy, and Jesus said nothing will harm you! So you can live VICTORIOUSLY! You should not be living a defeated life anymore. Activate that power now by fully trusting the Word of God in YOU!
But God does not only want you to live victoriously. He wants you to be contagious as well. What does this mean? Your life must have an impact on others’ life too. You cannot live by yourself. You cannot be a believer and not sharing Jesus’ love with others. [Matthew 22:37-38].
The story of a Samaritan woman met by Jesus at the well, was a great example of how a person touched by the love of God can become contagious [John 4]. After hearing Jesus and being convinced that He was the Messiah, her feelings, emotions and desires to share to people who Jesus is, was uncontainable. As a result, she led the whole village to believe in Jesus [John 4]. The scenario on the life transformation of this woman was indeed amazing.
My challenges to everyone as we enter into a new season of Sunrise: God has given us a very big vision for the coming 10 years. Be a contagious disciple. Do not feel relaxed in your life if you have not lead people to Jesus. Once you feel the love of God, you cannot contain it. You must share it with others and be a contagious disciple. “… because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction…” (1 Thessalonians 1:5)
