GROWING DEEPER AND HIGHER

Our theme for this 20th anniversary “PRESS ON – Growing Stronger, Deeper and Higher – perfectly fit to our situation particularly this time of pandemic.

We need strategy to achieve the heavenward goals. Let us talk about things today. Growing deeper and higher few weeks ago, have talks about the first part, growing stronger wish you still remember that.

Remember we all must grow and mature in our faith. God’s wisdom revealed by the Spirit to the mature “We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.” 1Corinthians 2:6.

1. GROWING DEEPER into maturity and relationships with God

If before you are so easily discourage, living in fear and worries and full of disobedience that should not be this time, as mature believers’ perseverance should be seen in you. Apostle James says, “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” [James 1:4].

GROWING DEEPER – in your relationship with Christ Jesus “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” [Ephesians 4:13. Loving God more and loving people more. [Matthew 22:37-39]

2. GROWING HIGHER into the knowledge of Christ

Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This is a very scary warning. But many so called believers, are guilty of rejecting knowledge. Not reading the bible, not joining any bible study, not praying. Just happy to be in the church every Sunday well not bad. But not enough to grow your knowledge of Christ. Hebrews 6:1 reminded us “Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,” Everyone should grow from being a believer to be a disciple. Jesus commanded everyone to go and make disciples not believer. [Matthew 28:19-20].

Jesus commanded everyone to go and make disciples not believer. [Matthew 28:19-20].

As your pastor I appeal to all you. Grow STRONGER in your faith – let nothing move you.

GROW DEEPER into your relationships with God, As God’s love for you never change regardless of what you do.

3. Grow Higher in your knowledge with Christ. Satan does not like you to know more of God. Overcome Satan temptation by being involve in your disciple groups deeply. That’s the place to gain knowledge and wisdom from God.

See you all on Monday , Be safe, Keep loving God and loving people- Keep sharing His word.

God bless everyone and HAPPY 20th Anniversary.
