On Friday Maldonado’s message was encouraging. It is not only because there were supernatural things, but also emphasize love, truth. Since the first session, it helped me to solve my queries:
The first session is Rev. Homac’s teaching, he talked about some believers region was occupied by the devil. We must capture it back:
1. Mind 2Tim 2:26
“and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.”
The devil many times occupy our mind, let negative, worry, and fear occupy us, and let us forget God’s power.
During the dinner, devil has put the thought of selling Jesus in Judas ‘ heart.
John 13:27, “As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.
So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” Devil can enter people’s heart, control some people to do bad thing or don’t do God’s will. Devil will fake people’s voice, let people feel that it is their own voice, their thought to lower their mood, make them angry, feel inferior, self hatred, and even evil thoughts. We have to try our best to resist it and release our heart.
2. Mindset can change our destiny
Proverbs 23:7 “for he is the kind of person who is always thinking about the cost.” Stronghold of the mind will not change, how we see God determine our life, our attitude is like a door, to let God mold us. Romans 8:5,” Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”
Jesus’ mind is different from us.
1. Guard against the yeast
“Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6
What is yeast/leaven? All the teaching that teaches people to reject Holy Spirit. Therefore, we have to reject wrong teaching and accept the Holy Spirit.
Secondly, is to reject the yeast of unbelief, it may come from religious authority that teach believers not to accept miracles.
2. Guard against yeast of Sadducees
“Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6 The yeast of Sadducees is that do not believe in anything.
3. Guard against yeast of Herod
Mark 8:15, ““Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”
Like political people, in high position and seek the glory of men
4. Guard against Pharisees
Matthew 16:11, “How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
Yeast of Pharisees is fake to be good, God does not want us to fake to be good.
5. It is like the dough of heaven
He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[a] of flour until it worked all through the dough.”(Matthew 13:33)
People of heaven have to have yeast of heaven, yeast of heaven is worship, miracles and wonders, move with power and expand continuously.
May God mould our church to be church of heaven, multiply continuously.
