This month Hong Kong experiences a hot weather. We heard people complaining while others seem to enjoy it. This kind of different preference, idea or opinion is a proof that God has given as uniqueness. That means that every one of us has been created by the Lord with individual mark or identity as proven by our finger print and iris.
But on the top of that God still reminded us, Yes, we may be different from one another in many things, but yet God has encouraged us to be united, to agree on many points specially when talking about – good thing, or God’s will or about Him. “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,”(1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus in His prayer in the book of John 17- He specifically pray to the father that his disciples will be united. I believed that even today this still the cry of the Lord for all of us to be one in Him in seeing people come to saving relationship of Jesus.
We all know the direction God has given to us at Sunrise. We have to “go and make disciples of all nations”. Yes, we are all called by the Lord to preach the Good news to every creation (Mark 16:15). If we as a church not doing this, we are only practicing religion! And religion does not save but kill. Good news is when we whole heartedly obey what God ask us to do. Blessings and favor will follow us to rest of our life… “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments”. Deuteronomy 7:9.
Our key to achieve God’s purpose in our life and in our Church… is that we must change our habits. Because what we do today it will determine your our future! And unless we decide to change our habit – we will not achieve anything. Let me quote Ps Benjamin sharing last week to you to change our habit :
1. Decide what would you do daily – You cannot change your life unless you change something you do every day.
2. Pinpoint the top three distractions that occur in your life habitually – You can trace the failure and success of everyone from something they do daily.
Brethren – we now half of the year! let us do something to Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ daily! God bless you all.
