Dear Brethren,

When the cool wind of December comes- one thing all we remember is Christmas! It is a joyous celebration of the greatest gift our heavenly Father has given to us The Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Have you thought about what special about this season? Some might just think Christmas is all about parties, gifts and holidays. Absolutely not. This all about the amazing love of our heavenly Father. So we have to celebrate Christmas with the right perspective!

Chuck Swindoll in "The Grace Awakening" wrote this:

If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator.

If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist.

If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist.

If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer.

But our greatest need was SALVATION, So God sent us a Savior!

Yes our greatest need is salvation. Because of sin we are doomed for destruction (Romans 6:23). The scripture pointed us very specifically about Jesus mission. In Matthew 1:21” She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[c] because he will save his people from their sins.”

This why every Christ believer should rejoice and celebrate Christmas! Jesus is the reason of our celebration.

The truth, He not only saved us. But God Himself is with us. Matthew 1:23. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[d] (which means “God with us”).

And what does it mean to have God is with us? Let share some points here.

1. You can live in victory! “Satan will always come to steal, kills and to destroy. That is what Satan does all the time. (John 10:10) But Remember Jesus comes so that you and me will have life . One more thing “If God is with us who can be against us”!( Romans 8:31)

2. Be assure of His presence at all time – Never be alone! “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV))

3. Be assure of His guidance and protections – Psalms 37: 23-24 The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way. 24 When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One [f]who holds his hand.

These just a few reminders – that when you celebrate your Christmas, make sure you do it the right reason.

The essence of Christmas is Jesus and His love – Would you tell someone who has not yet a believer about Jesus? His Love and sacrifice for them? That would a very special Christmas Celebration - > God bless us all.
