The Lord has directed me to the story of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite from the tribe of Judah (Joshua 14.6). This guy was one of the 12 spies who was send by Moses to spies Canaan the “Promise Land” (Numbers 13.6). After 40 days of spying they came back with big bunch of grapes, and a big news. This is what they reported to Moses: “We went to the land where you sent us. It is really a land flowing with milk and honey. Here’s some of its fruit Num13.27. 31 But the men who had gone with him said, “We can’t attack those people! They’re too strong for us!” 32 So they began to spread lies among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored is one that devours those who live there. All the people we saw there are very tall. 33 We saw Nephilim there. (The descendants of Anak are Nephilim.) We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that’s how we must have looked to them.” Num 13.32-33.
Now Caleb with a big heart silence the people and said” ..be quiet and listen to Moses. Caleb said, “Let’s go now and take possession of the land. We should be more than able to conquer it.” Numbers 13.30.
The story end with all those who doubted God’s Word face disasters and died. But those who believed in the promise of God enjoy the land and it fruits. But they of course face many battles before they enjoy the land.
Sunrise Church and Ministry will be moving into a new place called “Hub Eight” in Jordan. We knew we have difficulties in our finances. So why move? Why not just stay here, settle all our financial difficulties save, then moved? My heart said the same before. But God ways is higher than our ways and his thought is not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He has spoken that we will move. He has spoken to many of our people already. But the final confirmation that we want to see was from our Landlord. Jan 8, Pastor Gary has spoken to our Landlord. They have confirmed that AB flats will not be rented out because they are going to sell the building. This is indeed the Lord confirming us to move. Now we have the Word from the Lord He want us to go to “Hub Eight”.
The “Eight” are the eight Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount, recorded for all posterity in the Gospel of Matthew. So now God is bringing us into his blessings. Let us all unite our heart mind and spirit, to fight our battle and overcome all our financial difficulties.
The first battle that you need to win is yourself, are you willing to join us be an army that conquer the promise land like Joshua and Caleb? Or be like the ten spies who did not honor the Word of the Lord for them and end in disaster. My dear brethren God has spoken – We have to follow it and be blessed. God bless us all!
