Israel had lived in Egypt for 430 years (Exodus 12:40), then they cry out to God for help. The Lord hear their cry of help and spared a Hebrew boy that was thrown into the river Nile found by the Princess and raise him as her own son. Moses a former prince of Egypt, choses to leave his comfort zone and be with His people. He was the one chosen by the Lord to bring his chosen people into the promise land.
Just like the Israelites they stay in the land for 430 years, we stay in Lai Kee for 18 years. Now God has spoken to us very clearly through vision, and signs - our landlord will not renew our contract at Lai Kee. So, what would we do since the Lord has spoken and prepared for us a place in advance? We don’t have other options but to go and take it! This is what the Israelites do. At the end they enjoy God’s blessings.
Maybe, we may ask again how come the Lord will ask us to move since we don’t have enough resources? Yes true we don’t have. But let me bring you this story when God ask Moses to build a tabernacle for Him. The Lord did not tell Moses to go to a certain place and take gold or silver or bronze. But the LORD said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give. These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather[a]; acacia wood; olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. (Exodus 25:1-8). The Lord ask Moses to come to people and tell them the need of the God’s tabernacle. And the people responded with joy and gladness. “They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. “(Exodus 36:3). They must stop people from giving because there was so much! (Exodus 36:6-7). This kind of things also happens in the books of Acts where all people sell everything and brought their money to the Apostles feet to support the need of everyone and the church.
My dear brethren, you are all aware that we don’t have resources. But this is biblical to call you to offer for this need. This coming Sunday we will have our fund raising to” Build God tabernacle at Hub Eight’. I would encourage you all to participate in this Holy sacrifice for the Lord. Sunrise is a strong church. In Sunrise we are united. In Sunrise we all love the Lord deeply from our heart that is why we are here. Let us joint effort together and this will be an easy task!
I am really excited for what the Lord has prepared for us in the new place. I see harvest and multiplication, outpouring of the Holy Spirit and revival. Amen!
