As we are preparing ourselves for the new season of our church… let me direct you to climb the spiritual mountain of , eight (8) upward steps in the Divine life. And we will look at it in the Beatitudes of Christ. This will be our life blessings for going to Hub 8 –
The First steps we need to take is the steps of humility – without being humble you will not know and believed on Jesus or the Holy Spirt. Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Humility open the heavens for you.”
The Second step - is penitence- it is an attitude that you mourn for the sin of others and your sin as well. Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
The third step – Meekness – It is an attitude of having a New Spirit in you meaning have filled by the Holy Spirt. Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.”
4th Step – Spiritual Appetite- you have hunger for God’s presence and His word and love to live in God righteousness – so you will have growth. Matthew 5:6” Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
5th Step Mercifulness – this is an attribute of God indicating forgiving, compassionate, forbearing, kind etc. And you can have it as this has been given by the Lord everyone who believed in Him. You can love and does not need to keep the records of wrong. Matthew 5:7” Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
6th Step – Purity in Heart- Here is being seen in you the highest attainment in you attitude towards the vision about God. Matthew 7:8” Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
7th Step -Peacemaking – You have Christlike life, showing calmness, serenity, joy and peace. Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
8th Step – Suffering for Christ – you are willing to take to a higher level the faith you have and you even willing to die for Jesus. Matthew 5:11-12 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you”.
This blessings awaits for us at Hub 8 – Praise the Lord !
