In the face of injustice, let Jesus be our role model
Defending justice, Jesus did this
Jesus pointed out people’s unrighteous
In Matthew 23 Jesus pointed out the falseness of the teachers of the law and the Pharisees were acts of goodness and injustice, and urged the disciples not to follow their example. “So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.” (Matthew 23:3)
Jesus pointed out people’s injustice toward him
When Jesus was taken to the High Priest for interrogation, he was justified, saying that to prove that his lesson was problematic, he could ask those who heard his lesson in the synagogue and the temple every day, and when He had said so, he was beaten by the soldier next to him.
“ When Jesus said this, one of the officials nearby slapped him in the face. “Is this the way you answer the high priest?” he demanded. “If I said something wrong,” Jesus replied, “testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?” (John 18:22-23)
It can be seen here that Jesus is not dumb in the face of injustice, he will express, even pointed out the fault of man in person, but we have never seen Jesus use foul language to blame, or promote rallies and demonstrations so that violence strikes to defend justice. Jesus does not need us to defend his justice. He himself is the judge of justice.
Go to the street or not? off the ground or not off the ground?
Jesus' life, in addition to being crucified to achieve salvation, is to do justice and mercy, heal the sick, cast the devil and deliverance. As disciple of Jesus that follows him, we should not forget his great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and great commandment (Matthew 22:37-39). go and make disciples of all nations and love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul and your mind and love others as yourself. If we go to the street and see many lost souls without shepherd. If we enter the crowd, find some humble people to share the gospel. If our life everyday flow out the love of Christ, manifest heaven’s father’s kindness and goodness and seize every opportunity to Seize the opportunity to do justice and mercy, I believe that is not to participate in street demonstrations, our Christian life will not leave the ground.
Don't let the hatred deepen
You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[a] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[b] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” (Matthew 5:38-44)
