The Book of Joel was written behind the background of terrible sufferings they’ve experienced at that time. Their place was infested with so much locusts and all their plant were left to nothing. (Joel 1:1-4). He also reminded the people of the wrath of God when he comes back. Prophet Joel responded to the difficulties by calling people to humble themselves and return to the Lord and he declare a holy fast and prayer for all people. (Joel 2: 15). Which they did.
This book of Joel seems it is happening in Hong Kong don’t you think? Yes, it’s a different challenge of course but we could be sure the Lord answers prayer.
The Lord has spoken to then and give them a promise that He will help them. Look at his verse.
The Lord [i] will answer and say to His people,
“Behold, I am going to send you grain, new wine and oil,
And you will be satisfied in full with [j] them;
And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
20 “But I will remove the northern army far from you,
And I will drive it into a parched and desolate land,
And its vanguard into the eastern sea,
And its rear guard into the western sea.
And its stench will arise and its foul smell will come up,
For it has done great things.” “Joel 2:19-20)
How Is your faith today after all these things going on around?
Church this book is the strong reminder to all of us the amazing Love of God to his people. To you and me. The Lord will bless those faithful, standing strong on their faith not giving up despite of any difficulties. You are called by the Lord to stand on your Faith no matter what you will remain standing. You can do it because God is with you.
From Genesis to revelation, God is searching for a man and woman, like you whom he can bless. Is that you? God blessing is ready and is available anytime. Not only that, but also a promise of revival and supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit upon everyone.
