“ The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here — sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” Genesis 19:12-13 (NIV)
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah’s destruction has been made to film, written into a book. Talked over by many generations and until this time it was still an interesting topic. Why is this so, because it was a dreadful story of God judgment. Some people will say, how can a loving God destroy a whole city . But, our comment should be, Praise the Lord in spite of all people in Sodom and Gomorrah were too bad but God can see good people and save them. This were the family of Lot, Abraham’s nephew. We found very important reality here God save 4 person in total but Lot’s wife turn back so she became a pillar of salt. What a tragedy! Here is the reality “ when God judgment came there will be no turning back!
Church this story of Sodom and Gomorrah, is a strong reminder for all of us. There will be judgment that is to come to us. Do we need to be afraid of it? Yes we should because this a really terrible things if this happens to us to today. Is there a way to escape from this? Yes, your faith, and trust on Jesus is a way to escape. Yes it is, simple as that. When you believe in Jesus You let the Kingdom of God come upon you! Romans 10:9 clearly says,” 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
The good news is that when you believed in Jesus and have faith in him. Not only God will save you from the coming judgment. But while you live on earth you will also enjoy the Lord’s blessings, love, care, protection, peace, prosperity, joy and all the good things in this life you will enjoy it. Because the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
So what are you waiting for? Share Jesus to your family and friend. Let them be save from coming judgment and enjoy the Kingdom of God come upon them.
