Growing up in the midst of Adversity

Rev. Gary Shek

Staying home to help our community win against Covid-19 is the one of the best contributions everyone can do this time. To some covid-19 exposes, what kind of believers they are. If you are still living in fear be reminded that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:17). And I would suggest everyone, this the moment to show to the world how strong you are in your faith. Do something do not be idle. At home you can lead your family into prayer,Worship, and Bible learning. Some of our co-workers despite threat of Covid-19, they never stop going out and keep sharing Jesus Chris to many people. May God bless your commitment and dedication to serve and bless others.

Difficulties define a real believer. The scriptures is very clear “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”(James 1:2-4).

Where are you right now on this world of challenges. Are you barely holding on, almost giving up? Or are you becoming a pillar of faith to your friends, or family. I pray you are, as this is the calling of our Lord Jesus for you to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (2Peter 3:18). This is the moment to mature your faith and begun influencing others to believe Jesus and be save. This is the moment to stand firm and hold on to Jesus promises along with Holy Spirit.

Start to call your friend he might be living in fear or worries. Your prayer, Bible Sharing and encouragement would be very powerful this time…

Do not let covid-19 stop you from doing amazing thing for God. – Bring a friend to Jesus now!

God bless you all, stay safe and join us online for our worship services.
