As Covid-19 still affecting peoples lives all over the world and changing all what we planned to do for 2020. We in the Christian world should not be deter by it. Having faith on Jesus and His words, “27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that God works all things together for the good of those ho love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:27-28). We do not need to understand why the Lord is allowing this to happen. Because understanding what is going on in the world will just weary your soul and give you a lot of stress. But we need to be sensitive as well to what the Lord is leading us to do.
October 1 is our anticipated event for Hong Kong Prayer Day, and we thank God for allowing us to lead this event for many years now along with other organizations and churches. I would encourage everyone from Sunrise to participate on this coming event to bless Hong Kong and the world. We will be having a lot of platform for you to participate online or physical, like participating on a mountain prayer walks in different mountains. Several teams will be formed to take on different mountain walks and it would be an exiting one. If you have not participated in one of our mountain prayer walks, I would highly recommend, join this time it would be an amazing experience for you.
The challenges or may be hardship you face is not worth comparing to what the Lord has prepared to those who overcome. As apostle Paul clearly said, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18). So, hardship or suffering temptation or sins should not shut you down. Instead rise to the challenges and move forward and be more proactive. Hong Kong prayer day is one of your best change to do it.
Let us be united in heart mind and soul to come together as one church moving forward and rising to the challenges of economic problem and the Covid-19 in our city. Our God is great and so mighty. There is nothing He cannot do. (Matthew 19:26).
I believed that we are called by the Lord to be the watchmen for the City. That is why we have a 24/7 prayer. “On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves; “ Isaiah 62:6. To be watchmen not an easy task to do, but its worth a sacrifice serving the Lord.
Hong Kong Prayer Day is one of the best intercessions we can make as watchmen for this city. You cannot miss this event. Good thing is, you are not only blessing our city, but blessing yourself and your family as well.
