Last Saturday, I went to Yuen Long, Hung Shui Kiu and Lau Fau Shan for prayer walk. When I was preparing for the pray walk, I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to sing "Isaiah 60" (a hymn) to worship along the route. Since the theme of this song is God reigns, I know that the theme of this prayer walk is God reigns.
On the other hand, the government has fervently embarked on the vigorous development of Yuen Long, Hung Shui Kiu and Lau Fau Shan to tie in with the development of the Qianhai Commercial Zone in Shenzhen, and is even studying the construction of a railroad starting from Hung Shui Kiu and connecting to Shenzhen via Lau Fau Shan. Therefore, I know that we have to bless the unification of China and Hong Kong thence in peace.
Moreover, during the preparatory work, I went there to explore the area. During the visit, I saw many sacrificed unto the idols, this is indeed abominations in the eyes of our Lord. I felt in my spirit the residents were vexed with disturbances. Therefore, as we pray walk around the district, we have to bless the residents there with peace.
God's sovereignty, unity and peace seem to be three different things. However, on the day of the march, when we were walking and singing Isaiah 60 while proclaiming God's sovereignty, blessing the unity between China and Hong Kong, as well as the peace of the residents, we realized that only God's sovereignty can lead to true unity and peace. It is because only when all are willing to fix their hearts, and yield all to God, when God reigns among all people, He goes forth to direct our path in the deployment of His people. "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love" (Eph. 4:16), and only when we yield our sovereignty of our lives, families and careers unto God, and when God reigns, then comes true peace. For vain is our reliance on our own strength for protection.
My wife recently organized a seminar on husband-and-wife relationships for her church, and as I prayed with her, God made it clear to us that : The key to restoring a broken relationship, the husband and wife must be united in the Spirit and yield themselves unto the Lord and let Him reign in the relationship.
Every child of God ought to yield himself to his Father. The condition of God’s blessings is absolute surrender of all into His hands.
The full blessings one to receive depends on his absolute surrender to God in all things and whether we want to give the authority to God to reign in all. Brothers and sisters, hearing His sayings is easy, but doing them is difficult. We long to say it but hardly dare to do so. Let’s surrender the sovereignty of all things unto God This we must hear and do., "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Mt 6:33) This is the truth, and I am trying to do it, will you join me? Give yourself up absolutely to the will of God.
