Rev Gary Shek, Rev Reynaldo Abejero
I have remembered these things that happen when I was in a trip in the Philippines. There is a document that I need to copy. I searched for a place to photo copy my documents. Someone has directed to me to a nearest shop that do photocopy. Happy to hand my documents and the staff joyfully photo copy my documents to my surprised and dismay. The copied documents were so dirty and pale. It is barely readable. You know what I did? I took paid for it, then when I was away from the shop crumpled it and put in the garbage.
This story has reminded me of the very important verse. “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3.
Take note of this, Jesus Christ is the exact, perfect copy of God’s being! This is a very important truth that you need hid in your heart. Why? Because may people out there wanting to see the Father, and does not honour Christ. They are in big mistake! That’s why Jesus said to His disciple “if you have seen me you have seen the father “(John 14:9.)
As Christ is the exact representations of the Father, don’t you know that God has called you to be the like Christ too? Paul said “Imitate me, as I do
the Messiah.” (1Cor. 11:1)
1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2.
Brethren, let me ask you a question. Are you a clear copy of Christ? Or a dirty copy, just like the documents that I copied, dirty pale, not readable enough? You remember what I did to that dirty copy? I throw it in the garbage.
‘The LORD is slow to anger and abundant in faithful love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he won’t acquit the guilty. He recalls the iniquity of fathers to the third and fourth generation. (Numbers 14:18)
Brethren, think about it… He will not leave the guilty unpunished. Like what I did to the dirty unclear copy that I have Christ will judge us as well. If we are not being the clear copy of Christ. In love, attitude, character.
But somebody says, can we really be like Christ? I said YES! “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10). And the Holy Spirit is there to empower us. (Act 1:8).
God bless stay safe and make sure you are a clear copy of Christ!
