Are you all aware that we will be celebrating 20th year anniversary of doing God’s mission for us Sunrise? Both here Hong Kong and all around the world. One of the highlights of this celebration is to bring back. All those brother and sister who are with us from day one this ‘til this time. Two decade of doing God’s mission is a milestone that we acknowledge everyone who has been with us in the past and the present – because we will not accomplished as much as we now without their or your contribution – Really thank God for all your lives.
Another highlight is this anniversary. We will be presenting a goal or a mission We all ask from the Lord we will be doing for. Another 10 years …as we mention in my former messages. Another decade of Sunrise seems to me will more challenging, but as Apostle encourages us, “I press on towards the goals to win the prize for which God has me called heavenward in Christ Jesus” [Philippians 3:14].
There will be more challenges, but we will grow stronger, deeper, and higher in our relationship with him. As we see. A bright future ahead of us because Jesus is with us. We placed our hope and trust in God for our future but on the other hand we must do action. Because obedience to the Lord matter most. As scriptures says obedience is better than sacrifice.
1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”
The key for our future is obedience to the Lord – As simple as that. What does it means?
Every command of God you hear, every commands you read from the Bible. We just simply do it. That. is a simple faith. At sunrise our mission statement is centered on the great commandment “Loving God loving people” Matthew 22:37-39 and the Great commission [Matthew 28:19-20]. Go and make disciples. These are very important commandment that everyone of us in Sunrise should focus and obey- with simple faith and simple obedience.
I would say this, 20 years of Sunrise was our training. Now we are fully mature passing the age of teenagers. “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” [1 Corinthians 13:11]
Like a 20 year old man can do more big thing. Now is our year let us all be exited as we prepare ourselves receiving big things from the Lord.
