38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. (Acts 2:38-40)
With His strong hand, has the Lord led us (a group of 12) to Gapan, Philippines for a short mission trip. Yes, the Lord has brought us to this land that He has given us and we started off on 28 March, We have been involved in matters pertaining training, visits, participation in the 8th anniversary celebration and dedication of the Apostolic Centre there. He has marked our path along the journey, hasn’t he?
During this trip, all of us bore witness for the greatness and merciful kindness of God! We harvested souls during our visit to Gapan, we led several people to say the sinners prayer and they were converted to Christ. We interceded for and blessed a variety of people. God's blessing and protection to finish all the visits before it started raining heavily for one whole hour.
On Good Friday, we had a Born Again Camp with brothers and sisters in Gapan, and felt the relief of forgiveness of sins and the joy of the Holy Spirit, hallelujah. Afterwards, we ran a baptism camp to help members build a stronger relationship with the Lord and completed the elementary cell group leader training.
We practised the truth of "one body", and we had joint practices in Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines in one accord. In fact, more than 10 people were baptised and really need to be equipped, admonished and strengthened.
We have brothers and sisters from different backgrounds serving in different ways in this short-term mission. In fellowship of Spirit, we come together to serve each other The Lord bore witness for your effort in unity in Christ. We believe as we lay down our life, take the form of servant and become obedient to Lord unto death, plenteous redemption in Christ will overtake us.
