HAPPY EASTER WEEK

This week we just celebrated Easter week. Others celebrate it with Easter egg hunts. In the Philippines people parade themselves carrying the cross, and some of them- literally crucify themselves to fulfill some vows they have made. To some does not care at all!

Why Christians should care about this? We should care, because this has something very special to do with our faith. It’s the story of God’s love, devotion, forgiveness, sufferings and power of God. The story of Christ victory over Satan- that finally sets us free from Satan’s grips. Most importantly, It is the story of our salvation. [Romans 5:8].

The Bible says, “God set you free when He sent His Own Son… to be a sacrifice for our sin (Romans 8:3).” It was very clear that when Jesus came to us at the beginning of His ministry, Jesus Christ declared, “The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners (Luke 4:18).” Jesus fulfilled this mission by dying on the cross. God used His Son’s death to set us free from the kingdom of darkness and bring us into His kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13).

It was amazing! to unbelievers this is absurd nonsense, but to those who believe like you in me, this indeed our life. Jesus did not stay on the grave after 3 days he has risen from the dead. An assurance that you and I is not worshipping a dead God but a living God. Many people claim to be god but not one of them has risen only Jesus Christ- and when he ascended into Heaven he was seen by many people (Acts 1:9-11). Before His ascension, he said He is coming back again. (Acts 1:11)

Church, Easter was not just to remember his suffering but remember His promised return. What this word meant to us? Let me give you one big reason, He will come back because he has left many children here on earth and that’s includes you and me! Yes You! You are the adopted child of God and will always be his child, loved unconditionally by our Heavenly Father (John 1:12). Just like a loving father who will always be exited to go home because of his Children. God has placed in our heart a desire to be intimate with him, to have personal relationship with Him. "God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'" (Galatians 4: 6). "Abba" is Aramaic for "father," using the diminutive form; the term could be translated "daddy." Jesus used this title in prayer: "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you" (Mark 14:36). Now we can call the King of Kings by the same title as his beloved Son used. And because of this relationship with us – He dies and will come back for you and me!

Question: How close are you to your Father tonight? Will you take time this Easter weekend to listen to his Spirit, read his word, offer your praise, and surrender your life? Jesus died so that we will be set free and completely be saved. And restore the relationship our Father desired since the beginning of time to become his children and God be your Abba Father. Don't miss the greatest privilege in the universe.

HAPPY EASTER EVERY ONE ! Keep praying , Keep Loving , and Let us Keep Making Disciples.
