Since the Feast of Trumpet (i.e. Rosh Hashanah, the word “family” keep resounding not only in my mind. On 9 October, I attended a Christian seminar. The topic of ‘Family Discipleship’ came in again. I also heard a co-worker share his thoughts on building a family altar unto Christ; In addition, the theme for this month's Pray walk ministry is ‘Building a Family Altar’. Don’t we know God’s zeal for restoring family at this season?
The Feast of Trumpet has just passed, and there are already three or four gatherings or sharing sessions about ‘family’ and ‘family altar’. God wants to revive the family and the family altar in the new year of the Jewish calendar (not biblical calendar).
I believe that every believer wants everyone in their family to come to the Lord, but many are greatly distressed and saddened by what happened in their family. Their souls are grieved. They have great heaviness and continual sorrow in their heart as the family matters weigh on them.
What shall we say then? We must all , every one of us, endure with much longsuffering for our family in truth unto Christ, heeding the will of our heavenly Father.
