Sacrifices Pleasing to God

Altar unto the Lord is comely.  For Great is our Lord.

Recently we have once again encouraged people to partake in the altar. When we set up an "altar", we  think about how to set up the system and rules, or how to get the participants to commit to it.

Does the LORD love burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as He loves obedience to His Word? Behold,But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.(New International Version, 1 Samuel 15:22)

Rebellion is equal to the sin of divination, and stubbornness to the sin of idolatry. For thou hast forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and the LORD hath forsaken thee to reign." (1Sa 15:22 - 23) “

"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.(New International Version, Matthew 5:23-24)

Do not rejoice, Israel; do not be jubilant like the other nations. For you have been unfaithful to your God; you love the wages of a prostitute at every threshing floor. Threshing floors and winepresses will not feed the people; the new wine will fail them. They will not remain in the LORD's land; Ephraim will return to Egypt and eat unclean food in Assyria.They will not pour out wine offerings to the LORD, nor will their sacrifices please him. Such sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat them will be unclean. This food will be for themselves; it will not come into the temple of the LORD.(New International Version, Hosea 9:1-4)

The Lord delights in human sacrifices, but even more so, He delights in the offering of one's life as a sacrifice. Therefore, the most important part of the altar is not the place of the altar, nor prayer or worship, but the life of the prayers and worshippers.

Above all,  seek a life of obedience to God, holiness. Brethren, pursue His holiness, lay down your life to love one another in His truth.

Therefore, Our Lord's understanding is infinite..He take pleasure in him who fear Him. 

Do not weaponise your altar asking God to punish those who hurt you. GOD is love (1 John 4:8) . He asks us to love our enemies (Mt 5:44)Brethren, Be not rash with your mouth to utter anything folly.

How do you practice your love for God,  your denial of self to bear the cross to follow Him, your love for others each day ? Is your sacrifices on your altar for the Lord sweet to Him? Does your love for God and others grow each day? Have you ever abase yourself that others maybe promoted? Have you ever labored abundantly for your love for God above measure?Have you ever walked in integrity of heart in uprightness according to His commandment?Have you ever sought meekness, hearkened the voice of poor and afflicted?

Therefore, we encourage you to commit a time for the altar, or to join other brethren's altar. not only for the sake of keeping watch over the nations, cities, families, and individuals, but also to help yourself to develop the habit of growing up in prayer, supplication, worship, and intimacy with God, as well as your love for others including those who hurt you. Let it grow, if possible,  progressively, but only led by the Holy Spirit.  For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is the (Lord's ) brother, and  sister, and mother.( Mark 3:35)
