After the Hong Kong Day of Prayer on October 1, the spiritual atmosphere has greatly improved and the LORD delights in Hong Kong.
I wrote an article in 2008 called "The Destiny of Hong Kong". I proclaimed through the name Hong Kong that the city used to produce and export incense for pagan idol worship in ancient time, but just as in the book of Revelation, God sees the name of Hong Kong as the prayers and supplications of the saints.
"And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.." (Rev. 5:8)
God desires Hong Kong to become a port of prayer and worship. The Hong Kong Day of Prayer, saw a multitude of intercessors and worshippers, church groups, solemn confession and altars dedicated to Christ. All these surely suffices to make clear that God is turning Hong Kong to become a city of God. It is no longer a city conspired for idol incense.
Salt used to be produced in Hong Kong, and salt has a cleansing and antiseptic effect. God's intention is to transform Hong Kong into a holy kingdom (Holy Kingdom, HK), so we need to continue to pray for this city so that darkness and filth will be cast out from Hong Kong. The city will be sanctified and made holy by the Lord.
Hong Kong used to produce pearls in Tai Po, and pearls represent the kingdom of heaven (Mt 3:45-46), and people call Hong Kong the Pearl of the Orient.
Finally, Hong Kong used to be a fishing port, symbolizing a bountiful harvest and it is an imperative call from our Lord for us to become fishers of men. 17. “ And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” (Mark 1:17), and yes, more and more people in Hong Kong today are believing in Jesus, making disciples of the Lord, and becoming a port full of spiritual harvest to bring glory to Him. At present, people are preaching in the streets, in the workplace, and in the hospitals every day. Hong Kong is now entering into a great harvest season, so that God's destiny for Hong Kong will be fulfilled and glory to God!
