At the end of August, I was once again healed by God in a prayer session. The sermon says man is just a vessel unto God bearing His name, , and as long as he longs for God, God will fill him up, and then he will be used by God to accomplish whatever God wants to do. That is, it is not the person who ministers, but when a person thirsts for God and is filled by Him, the power of God will be poured out through that person to accomplish whatever God wants to do, just as in Acts 1:8, ‘But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
This godly lesson is important to me, especially this month. For some reason I am very tired this month, not overworked, but very tired. In the past, when I was at this level of tiredness, I would want to rest, and thus I would breathe out a lot of cans and can'ts (I'm too tired to serve), complaints, and judgementalism (this ministry is meaningless!) in any ministry. (This ministry is meaningless!)! I desire of rest for I was tired sore. Nevertheless,. it is hard to kick against the pricks. How shall I keep my charge?
I've been thinking a lot lately about what a pastor shared, and I invite you to imagine the following scenario:
Imagine the vastness of the universe and the smallness of the earth. God did not just create the earth, but everything in the universe was also created by God. Since God has the power to create the universe, what happens on the tiny earth and to us is, in God's eyes, even smaller than a body cell, isn't it? God loves us to the end.
Such experience changed my mindset. I am just a small and powerless vessel, but I am filled with the Mighty One who created the universe. Therefore, no matter how powerless or tired I am, as long as I long for God, He will strengthen me to accomplish His work.
